Smooth deployment of Autostore WMS v6 for pladis

After 15 months of planning and execution, British confectionary giant pladis went live with TBA’s Autostore WMS version 6 on 3rd September. The company, which includes well-known brands such as United Biscuits, Ülker, Godiva Chocolatier and DeMet’s, has been a prominent user of Autostore for over 14 years and we’re delighted to see them migrate to our latest major release at the ADC warehouse. 

The deployment of the software last weekend was very smooth and pain-free, thanks in part to the fantastic working relationship we enjoy with pladis’s logistics, IT and management teams. The process began in 2022 and included multiple site visits, deep dive workshops, detailed functional and technical specifications, user acceptance testing and system dry runs.  

Codenamed ‘Project Telos’, TBA and pladis worked as a single team and collaborated to deliver a successful phase one. As their Head of Warehouse Operations, David Watson, explained: “The commitment, expertise and overall desire to work as 'One Team' to deliver the very best outcome ultimately delivered the result that the team thoroughly deserved. The Phase 1 success of the Telos project has provided the perfect springboard for future achievements as we continue through the project in full.”
