Konecranes and TBA are combining their respective warehouse management and automation teams into a single division within Konecranes’ Industrial Equipment business area.

TBA Leicester’s experience in warehouse management systems dates back to the mid 1990s and they have an impressive portfolio of customers using their software. Brands such as British Gypsum, Culina, pladis, Kuehne & Nagel, and Encirc rely on TBA’s flagship software product, Autostore, every day to manage their warehouses.

Konecranes primary warehouse automation product is Agilon, a self-contained, fully automated materials management system that boosts productivity, accelerates delivery times, and optimises space utilization.

Combining these two areas of the business not only delivers growth opportunities within the warehouse management and automation field; it will also give their respective customers access to even more experience and capabilities.

“I see this as a huge opportunity for TBA Leicester,” said Managing Director, Andrew McKaig. “Combining our team’s expertise in warehouse management and automation with Konecranes’ technical abilities, brand awareness, and reputation will no doubt open the door to new customers - but it will also allow us to further improve our offering to our existing users.”

Agilon Director, Vesa Hämetvaara, agrees: “Agilon’s state-of-the-art storage system has revolutionised the operation of our customers’ warehouses. Combining this with TBA’s 30 years of warehouse management and automation experience, and the integration expertise of Autostore, is an exciting proposition for both my team and our customers.”

The integration of the two teams began on 1st January 2025 and is expected to be completed by early Q2.
