TBA Group is pleased to announce that Southern Ports Authority, which operates three ports, Esperance, Albany and Bunbury in Western Australia has selected CommTrac Terminal Operating System as part of its  digitisation strategy.

"Here at TBA we believe that integration and automation are key when delivering to terminal operations which is why we are excited to be working with a forward-thinking company like Southern Ports on this project. The ability to automate new and existing processes using CommTrac gives Southern Ports a clear path to meeting their goals of robust/reliable data gathering as well as shifting operating decision-making to real time and away from a paper-based system."

David Trueman, Managing Director at TBA Group

This latest contract sees Southern Ports become the first bulk operation in Australia to choose CommTrac to manage its terminal operations and increases CommTrac’s installation base to over 40 bulk, general cargo and multipurpose terminals across the globe.

Southern Ports Chief Executive Officer, Keith Wilks, echoed the value of a system like CommTrac in building efficiencies across its regional port network, increasing the opportunity for growth.

“Across our organisation and ports, we’re identifying ways to increase trade facilitation – digitisation and the introduction of innovative systems such as CommTrac lays the foundation for us to achieve this,” said Mr Wilks.

“The introduction of CommTrac is one of the ways Southern Ports will digitally evolve as we build technologically-advanced ports for the future.”
