Held over the last three days in Hamburg, TOC Europe 2026 was a big success for TBA - high-level discussions, new business opportunities and industry collaboration at one of the maritime sector’s leading global events.
Held at Hamburg Messe from 19–21 May, the exhibition and conference attracted more than 4,500 professionals from over 100 countries, bringing together terminal operators, shipping lines, logistics specialists and technology providers to discuss the future of ports and global supply chains.
The event marked TOC Europe’s first year in Hamburg after several years in Rotterdam, with key themes from the presentations including digitalisation, AI, automation, cybersecurity and sustainability dominating the conference agenda.
Sharing a stand with parent company, Konecranes, TBA used the event to showcase its terminal operating systems, CommTrac and Autostore, under its new brand positioning, “software for smarter terminals”. There was strong engagement from both existing customers and prospective partners, with delegates focused on practical solutions to improve efficiency, resilience and long-term investment planning.

“TBA has been involved in TOC Europe for over 20 years,” said Managing Director Chris Hicks. “We always come away with not only new leads and opportunities, but also new ideas and perspectives inspired by the conversations we have on the stand.”
Delegates and exhibitors commented on the strong sense of optimism across the industry despite ongoing geopolitical uncertainty and global supply chain pressures. The event demonstrated that the maritime and logistics community continues to innovate, collaborate, and invest in the technologies needed to support future growth.
For TBA, the week in Hamburg also reinforced the value of collaboration and face-to-face engagement. “I’m sure that many of the people we’ve spoken to this week would have contacted us in other ways if we hadn’t been at TOC,” said Hicks. “But there’s no denying that meeting them here, in person, is a great way to kick off a new relationship.”
