Job Description

We are recruiting a Software Tester – Terminal Operating Systems (C#)to join our team based in Leicester/Home (depending on restrictions).  Working within our agile development teams and reporting to the department’s business lead, you’ll be a key contributor to our department’s testing function and will be involved hands on with maintaining and developing automated software tests within a development team. 
 
TBA Group produces market leading, large-scale, distribution and supply chain software products used by customers worldwide and is aiming for further substantial growth over the next 5 years.

What are we looking for?

You will ideally hold a 2:1 BSc Honours Degree, or higher, in an appropriate subject or have equivalent industry experience.

    Skills & Experience

  • Ideally educated to BSc Degree or above in Computer Science, or equivalent knowledge/experience
  • Basic experience of the C# programming language
  • Good understanding of basic programming concepts
  • Experience of working in an Agile development method beneficial
  • A thorough understanding of Software Test Design techniques
  • Understanding of bug management systems

  • Any of the following would also be beneficial:

  • Knowledge and experience of using Docker and containerised applications
  • Knowledge of port/container terminal operations and processes
  • Background in supply chain/logistics software
  • .net Core development framework
  • Security/vulnerability testing tools or techniques
  • Microsoft SQL Server Databases
  • Creation/maintenance of CI/CD pipelines
  • Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain the formal testing process for the software products, working within the Scrum development framework.
  • Implement and maintain automated testing
  • Define test cases based on user stories and user acceptance criteria.
  • Automated testing of the product.
  • Verify compliance of a product to internal and external quality standards.
