As Functional Expert at TBA, you will be working on software projects aimed at making complex port operations simple to manage. We believe that simplicity lies at the heart of performance of container and bulk terminals.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for a candidate with a proactive and focused approach to getting things done. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills - both written and verbal. Someone with knowledge and experience of ports and terminals operation /Vessel planning/Control room is really important.


You will also have the following:


  • A 2:1 BSc Honours Degree or above in Computer Science, Software Testing or ISEB / ISTQB equivalent and already possess software testing experience within industry.
  • Highly proficient in spoken and written English.
  • Requirements analysis
  • Ability to define technical requirements for developers so they understand how the software operates
  • Expert in terminal operating system – understand how the system works
  • Prioritizing work for the development team
  • Ports and terminals operation knowledge/Vessel planning/Control room – knowledge you pass on to developers for them to use
  • Working with stakeholders/customers to define and refine requirements
  • Knowledge Terminal Operating Systems application software and IT

    Key Responsibilities

  • Producing use cases
  • Raising defects
  • Producing process flow documents
  • Running projects with clients
  • Running meetings and conveying outcomes in a simple manner
  • Updating customers on progress
  • Presenting findings and business updates on progress
  • User testing (functionality) systems with new releases – manual test
  • Working closely with internal stakeholders i.e. Developers, Project Managers, QA/Testing teams to ensure they have the knowledge to build the software
  • During the delivery phase you will be conduct onsite testing of container handling equipment in combination with our software and the training of end-users.
