TBA Group is part of a multi-national group of companies and promotes a creative and dynamic work environment is looking to recruit a Automation Systems Engineer on a permanent basis in Satu Mare, Romania. TBA Group produces market leading, large-scale, distribution and supply chain software products used by customers worldwide and is aiming for further substantial growth over the next 5 years.

We are proud to have a truly global customer base who operate across logistics, warehousing, terminals, and ports, 24/7. This role will provide support to the Automation project team in design, development, installation, commissioning of automation systems and hardware for low level automated technology.

What are we looking for?

You will primarily work on supporting Automation projects in designing, developing, and commissioning automation systems and hardware. In addition, you will provide customer support for automated system solutions.

  • Experience of working with Automation systems and Automation systems projects (Siemens or Rockwell) with a “hands-on” approach, developing code from scratch.
  • Programming in all IEC61131 is a must, with special emphasis in ladder logic (LAD) and structured text (ST/SCL)
  • Experience in the use of electrical drawings.
  • Knowledge of C, C++ or C# is beneficial
  • Knowledge of Python, JavaScript or any other computer programming language is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with Database Systems or Structured Query Language is an advantage

    Key Responsibilities

  • PLC software development and testing – Siemens (Step 7 Classic and TIA) and Rockwell (RS Logix 5000 and/or Studio 5000)
  • Capacity (prior knowledge is not required) to work with legacy control systems such Modicon, Siemens S5 or Schneider PL7)
  • HMI application development and testing
  • Electrical and control system design
  • Electrical drawings using Eplan
  • Hardware specification & procurement
  • Hardware configuration
  • Trouble shooting, diagnosing and resolving warehouse and ports automation software related issues
  • Maintain and improve code quality, and processes through the development of and maintenance of features within the software products and working as part of a team within an Agile framework
